Tiny Dancer

Our friends, Kim and Brian got married the other weekend...

Jocelyn danced her little heart out pretty much the ENTIRE reception, except for the times we had to restrain her!

First, she found a little friend.

Then, she danced solo...

The girl has some moves.
She took a small break to have some cake...
And then it was back to the dance floor!

We had to get her off eventually, because we were scared she would be stepped on by a high heel.

PASSED OUT on the way home...I wonder why?

Jocelyn baking with Aunt Brooke...

The woman is brave! Believe me, I've let Jocelyn help bake before, her little hands are never still.

Oldie

I transferred some files from the old computer to the new, and found this little video. I love looking back to when she was little bitty. It wasn't that long ago, but I already can hardly remember it...which makes me so sad.

Easter Festivities

Last week, we dyed Easter eggs with Jocelyn for the first time. She did such a great job following directions!
Here she is carefully decorating the colored eggs with stickers. Jocelyn LOVES eating hard boiled eggs for snacks so these didn't last long!

All done and showing off her creations.

We decided to hunt for eggs in the living room on Saturday night so we wouldn't be rushed before church on Sunday morning.

It didn't take her long to realize that she could find either an M&M or a gummy worm in each egg.

Next, it was time to give her the Easter Basket. I got the stuffed bunny basket that says, "Some bunny loves you" and wags it's tail at a garage sale for $1 last summer. I was excited to finally use it. I knew that she was going to love the little "Jocelyn's Family and Friends Book" that I made for her at snapfish.com. She could have cared less about the rest of the goodies.

Daddy reading her the new photo book.

Sunday after church....

In the evening, we went to Nana and Papaw's for a nice dinner.
It was a great Easter. But Easter isn't about the chocolate, the bunnies, the colored eggs, the pretty dresses, the food, or an excuse to get together with family. Before I recieved Christ as my Savior that's what it was all about. Today, I can say that I serve a Risen Savior.
"You ask me how I know He lives...He lives within my heart!"
And to quote another of my favorite hymns..
"Because He lives, I can face tomorrow.
Because He lives, all fear is gone.
Because I know He holds the future
And life is worth the living just because He lives!"

Sweet Little Dress

One of the many reasons that I love our little old fashioned Southern Baptist church, with probably 90% of it's members being over 70 years old, is that they REALLY LOVE US...and they especially love Jocelyn. One lady gives Jocelyn either a little stuffed animal or a dollar "for her piggy bank" every Sunday! She also gives Jocelyn's parents each a piece of chocolate every week :)

One of the other older members gave Jocelyn this dress that she MADE! She wore it to church last Sunday for the Easter dinner and egg hunt and all the ladies went nuts over it.
When I was pregnant, for my church baby shower, I received at least 5 hand-made blankets. One was made for Jocelyn right before the lady passed away... how special is that?
We are so thankful for our church family!

Evansville Children's Museum

These are from several weeks ago, but I am just now getting the pictures uploaded. I told myself that I would make it back there before Jocelyn turned 18 months and wasn't free anymore, but I didn't make it. Mitchell and Jocelyn had a blast!

My face painting skills aren't too bad!

Exploring with different musical instruments was fun.

And of course, the tunnel was fun too.

But Jocelyn's favorite part had to be the water room!
