Trick or Treating at Scales Lake

Jocelyn and I were so excited when we heard about Scales's lake having all the campsites decorated and ready for trick or treaters a week early. Mimi asked if she could come too and it was so much fun!

Jocelyn looked so cute in her angel costume her Nana (Levon's mom) found for her.

I love the view of her wings from the back.

Of course, we had to stop by the petting zoo before hitting the campsites.

She is telling the goat that she is an angel that flies "like this"!

The campers at Scale's had some great displays! Of course, Joce wasn't scared of any of it.

This one was my favorite. The guy inside would rise out of the coffin.

We found Lily the ladybug while we were there!

What a perfect fall night we had.

Getting treats from all kinds of creatures...

sorry if watching this gives you a sore neck :)

Horsing Around

We picked the coldest, most rainy day possible to visit Mimi's barn, but Jocelyn didn't seem to mind. The horses seemed to enjoy Jocelyn as much as she enjoyed them!

First Fire of the Season

Yeah, it may be dorky to take a picure of a fire, but our family gets extremely excited about the first fire of the season. Levon asks me every night as soon as October hits if I want a fire. I make him wait till it is at least below 70 degrees outside!
Check out my new mantel artwork made by my friend Katie. We love it. It is her signature gift for people for their weddings, but she hadn't started them till after we were already married and she knew I always wanted one.

She takes the pictures and puts it together herself. Isn't that awesome?

This shot reminds me of Forrest Gump, except their heads aren't cocked to the side.

Happy Fall!

Pumpkin Love

Prepare yourself... I couldn't choose just a couple to share.

I love how she takes it upon herself to turn so many moments into photo shoots. I have the girl trained.

Go back in time with me one year ago....

pretty much the same sweet face, but with hair now!

Grammy Marsha (Lily's grandma) gave Jocelyn this Mr. Pumpkin head kit. She loves it.

Now it's time for the big one!!

Daddy says, "Take a bite!"

She gave in...

How much is she a little Levon in this one? LOVE her expression.

A snack of a little raw pumpkin guts never hurt anybody.
Nana gave us a pumpkin carving kit which made this kitty possible. Levon and I aren't artistic enought to come up with something like this on our own!

All done!
