Kentucky Lake

Last weekend we took a mini vacation to Kentucky Lake with our friends, Nathan & Lorah Joiner and their sweet 5 month old baby Elise. Nathan caught his biggest fish ever and we had access to trees, the lake, a playground, and a swimming pool so it turned out to be a pretty fun trip.

Jocelyn got nice and muddy...

had fun climbing up to the little loft in the cottage...

watched Daddy fish...

dipped her feet in the lake...

learned all about fishing lures (and how not to through them in the lake)...

had her very own "vacation cat" that followed her around...

found a little bitty frog in the swimming pool...
stayed up late with the adults...

used the cabin decor for fashion (after taking Nathan's lead)...
played on some playground equipment...

mastered the big kid swing...

got her first major boo boo (she burned her hand on the lid of the grill, see her bandaged hand? It was horrible, but after medicine and a nap she was as good as new)...

and lastly, played with little Elise, who I'm convinced is the most easy going and happy baby I've ever known.

I also had to include this family picture I took of the Joiners that I think is so good. Such a cute family.
