Daddy's Girl

One morning, Jocelyn rolled over in bed and cuddled up on the big pillows that Levon lines up on his side of the bed when he gets up for work so she doesn't roll to the edge. She felt around with her eyes closed, then opened them and looked at the pillows in suprise. She lifted up one of the pillows and said, "Dadda?" like he might be hiding underneath them! Then she looked at me and whimpered, asking for her Daddy. It's little moments like these that I can't wait to tell Levon because I know it melts his heart. He loves to be needed and wanted by her.

I don't even mind when Levon calls her over with open arms and acts as "the nice parent" when she is crying hard from being disciplined by me.
Every time she does something silly or puts on a hairbow or hat, she says, "Dad!" and is ready to show him to hear his praises or make him laugh. You should see her face when she hears the door start to open. She is so excited to see him.
It's so touching for me to see how he is with her. He is ever so careful with her feelings and committed to giving her good experiences. She's only 1 so if he is already so conscious of these things, I am very confident of the quality of her childhood and life with him as her Daddy.

We love you Daddy! Thanks for giving us a life better than we could have ever imagined!
